Read Commentary from AnewHealth’s George “Mike” Brett in McKnight’s Home Care
A recent article in McKnight’s Home Care shares insight on risk score calculation for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) for calendar year 2026, including the use of CMS-HCC V28 and the transition to the Encounter Data System.
“What we’ve been telling our clients is, number one, please make sure you get your data submitted using Encounter [Data System] data right now, this year, because it’s going to affect your risk score next year,” George Brett, MD, chief medical officer, AnewHealth’s Capstone Risk Adjustment Services, told McKnight’s Home Care Daily Pulse. “[It’s] critically important because 10% of your risk score is going to be calculated just from version 28 and Encounter data.”
