At this year’s National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Annual Technology & Business Conference, Mindy Smith, SVP, Government & Professional Affairs, will be appointed Chair of the organization’s Board of Trustees.
She will make her acceptance speech on the final day of the event, May 7, 2025, at 8 a.m. PT at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa Kierland Ballroom.
“For decades, NCPDP has been doing important work to move healthcare forward, and I am proud to be elected Chair of the Board of Trustees,” Smith said. “I am excited to take on this new role and attend the Annual Technology & Business Conference, as it provides a great opportunity to connect with other pharmacy and healthcare industry stakeholders on innovations and how we can continue to better care delivery.”
NCPDP brings together diverse stakeholders to improve the exchange of healthcare information for patients and everyone involved in care delivery. The Board of Trustees provides leadership, strategic direction, fiduciary oversight and accountability, oversight of activities, and ambassadorship for NCPDP, aligning with the organization’s vision, purpose and core values.
Members of the Board of Trustees are elected by the NCPDP membership. Smith was first elected as a board member in May 2023. Then in 2024, she transitioned to the role of Vice Chair. Smith will now serve as Chair for one year.
