John Figueroa

Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors

John Figueroa is an accomplished healthcare entrepreneur, who today serves as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of AnewHealth.

John previously served as CEO of AnewHealth from its establishment in 2023 with the merger of ExactCare and Tabula Rasa HealthCare (TRHC) to his retirement at the conclusion of 2024. As Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, he continues to support the organization in a strategic capacity.

Prior to the merger of ExactCare and TRHC, John served as Executive Chairman of ExactCare, as well as Executive Chairman of CarepathRx, a role he still holds today. John founded CarepathRx in 2019 as Chairman and CEO, with the vision of building a business that could deliver the most comprehensive pharmacy services capabilities in the industry. John grew CarepathRx to over 2,000 employees and $2B in revenues, prior to its divestiture of BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy.

Before founding CarepathRx, John served as CEO of Genoa Healthcare, a behavioral health pharmacy, telepsychiatry and medication management company. His experience also includes roles as Chairman and CEO of Apria Healthcare Group, Inc., and Coram LLC. In addition, he served as CEO of Omnicare, Inc., and was formerly President of McKesson Corporation’s U.S. Pharmaceutical Group.

John holds bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was a distinguished military graduate. He also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, where he was honored as a Distinguished Alumnus and received the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Inspired Leadership Award.

He served as a Commissioned Infantry Officer in the United States Army achieving the rank of Captain. As a Ranger, he held the positions of Company Commander, Executive Officer, Scout Platoon Leader, Platoon Leader, and German/American Liaison Officer. He also served as the Executive Officer with the 12th Special Forces Group, SFODA 333.
